Event sponsor and special guest speaker, Paul Jacob, Chairman of Americans for Citizen Voting will provide a brief presentation on the Citizen Only Voting Amendment, a proposed ballot initiative focused on strengthening election integrity protections in Michigan.

The amendment would:

• Require voters to show photo ID to vote, while providing free ID cards for individuals facing hardship to ensure the law remains fair and accessible to all eligible citizens.
• Require the Secretary of State to verify that only U.S. citizens are eligible to vote in all elections.
• Mandate regular review and maintenance of voter rolls to remove individuals whose citizenship cannot be verified.

Currently, more than 750,000 petition signatures supporting the Citizen Only Voting initiative are awaiting verification by the Michigan Bureau of Elections and the Board of Canvassers. A total of 446,198 valid signatures are required for the amendment to appear on the November 3, 2026 ballot.

Paul will speak for approximately 10 minutes on this important statewide ballot initiative as part of the evening’s program.
